  • Christine Park, PhD

    President 2024

    Dr. Christine Park was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and has worked in Oʻahu and Hawaiʻi Island communities since 2007. She is a nationally certified counselor (NCC), and licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and registered expressive arts therapist (REAT). Her experience includes providing counseling and support to children, adolescents, and adults through public education and community settings. Dr. Park runs a private practice and works as a program coordinator in Hawai'i and a professor for graduate-level counseling programs. Her passion lies in advocating for wellness and normalizing access to mental health care.

  • Sheena Galutira

    Recording Secretary 2022-2024

    Sheena is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. She is currently at Chaminade University of Honolulu as the Internship Director for Mental Health Counseling in the Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology program and is an adjunct professor. Sheena also works in private practice part-time.

  • Stephanie Misaki Whiting, MS, LMHCA, NCC

    HCA Membership Secretary for 14 years

    Stephanie is a licensed mental health counselor in private practice on Kaua`i. She completed a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as a Masters of Arts degree in Communication. She received her clinical training in county mental health clinics. As a former university wellness educator and board member of the National Wellness Institute, she brings a whole health, integrative approach into her counseling practice. As Senior Faculty Member for the Center for Mind-Body Medicine (Washington DC), Stephanie works extensively in agency and community-wide trauma-focused, self-care programming. She is a registered provider with Give An Hour (www.giveanhour.org), a national non-profit network of volunteer licensed mental health professionals offering free, confidential counseling for military service members, veterans and their loved ones. Her own stress management self-care includes dancing with Hula Hālau O Hanalei and 40 years of national and international powerlifting competition.
